Driving Through Jasper
If you’re traveling between British Columbia and Alberta, be sure to take a drive through Jasper National Park. There are magnificent mountains of limestone and shale, and numerous glacial lakes. Lots of wildlife can be seen including caribou, moose, and rocky mountain sheep.

Deas Island Park in Winter
I went for a walk in Deas Island Park last weekend and took a few shots. Rowers were out on the water, despite the cold. While looking out from the beach, a ship named Liberty King passed by. There is a nice shot of the Burnaby skyline in front of snow covered mountains.

On a camping trip in 2018 to Buttle Lake, BC I came across a female house finch that was very trusting, and as it turned out, very photogenic.

George Reifel Bird Sanctuary – Summer 2021
These photos were taken in the Summer of 2021 at the George Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary. It’s a wonderful place to go for a walk. The price of admission is very cheap (adults $5, seniors/children $3) and you can buy seeds to feed the birds.
